Near the end of the ride I came across so very large marsh lands that had a heavy white deposit all around it. It may have been salt, or gypsum or whatever. I know I wasn't too tempted to taste it :). I probably could have continued at this point, but I could see at least half a mile of the same and didn't want to get my shoes dirty. I was lucky to find a farmers road nearby.
